We Work With
VERSA is unique in that we hire directly from the community we serve. 100% of our team are DC residents primarily in Wards 7 & 8, the most economically disenfranchised communities in DC.
We pride ourselves on hiring directly from the community. We provide opportunities to returning citizens, some of which have violent convictions that cannot get work elsewhere because of their conviction history.
Outside of providing career opportunities, our organization focuses on rehabilitation and mentorship. We support our crew members with parenting classes, getting in good standing with child support payments, opening a bank account, obtaining a driver’s license and more.
VERSA is where individuals can learn a trade and take it with them for years to come.
Services
Maintenance of Traffic
We provide flagger services and equipment set up for small jobs to multi-lane highway closures. Our crew is ATSSA trained and certified.
Road Closure & Division
Marathons, filming, festivals and events require that a diversion be set up to roue heavy pedestrian traffic. We can range the diversion on your behalf and ensure that the adequate signs and directions are erected on the affected route.
Workforce Development
VERSA offers a “Workzone Safety Program” that aims to recruit, train, and improve the hireability of participants in the area of construction safety. By equipping participants with these certified safety skills, participants will leave with our training program with knowledge based skills, practical implementation techniques, and confidence that will improve their job readiness and hireability.
Traffic Management Plans
We can provide temporary traffic management services suited to Street & Highway construction as we can arrange to install the schemes each morning just in time for you to commence work. Email us on specifics on your traffic control plans and we can have a converted plan within 48 hours.
